We travelled from Franz Josef back to Christchurch, where we had a nights stay. We then made our way to Wellington. Boarding the ferry and taking the 3.5hour trip from the South Island to the North Island.
The following day was spent in Wellington. We made a trip to the massive museum Te Papa. Here they had loads of exhibits; including, one about nature where you could find out about plants and animals around New Zealand. Those which are still around and those that have unfortunately become extinct. Another exhibit they had was about Gallipoli, it was extremely moving and the way they did it was incredible. Such life-like statues and so much information and stories about those who were part of it. There are so many areas in the museum I can’t possibly name them all, but throughout it is very interactive and informative. If you find yourself in Wellington, be sure to make a stop here!
