As much as I love travelling I used to always dread when it came to packing my case. But the more I’ve packed I have picked up some great tips that have helped me save space, time and be more organised. I no longer dread packing my case and I find it a lot easier to find what I’m looking for. Here are 5 of my top tips when it comes to packing:
Packing Cubes
These are a definite must for me, they help you compact everything in neatly, saving lots of precious space. If you’re anything like me, you can attach labels to them so you know exactly where to find what you’re looking for. This really comes in handy when you’re moving around a lot and don’t have the time (or energy) to pack and unpack your case every time.
Roll don’t fold!
Not only does this help to prevent creasing in your clothes, but it also helps save room meaning you can fit more in your packing cubes!
Protecting Jewellery
If you haven’t got the room for a small jewellery case then a great alternative is rolling your necklaces in your clothes. This will stop them from getting broken or tangled.
Use your shoes!
Free up some valuable space by stuffing your smaller items in your shoes.
Put your information inside your suitcase
Just in case your luggage tag falls off. Put your name and contact number in this will help reunite you with your luggage, should it get lost. This happened to me once when my luggage was meant to be delivered to my room. Luckily I had put this information in my suitcase so it still found its way to me! Now it is something I always ensure to do for every trip.
Hope this gives you some ideas for the next time you need to pack!
