Singapore

Although my visit to Singapore was short, it still left a lasting impression. I am eager to go back there in the near future.

Marina Bay Sands

Hotel wise, there are many great options you can choose from.  I was lucky enough to stay in the fabulous Marina Bay Sands.  My room boasted a wonderful view of Gardens by the Bay a truly beautiful place which looks great at night.

The hotel had a viewing area at the very top and an infinity pool. These overlooked the magnificent view of Singapore.

Getting Around

Getting around Singapore was stress-free and super-easy. From the airport, I got a shuttle bus which took me to the hotel.  From then on I made my way around Singapore using it’s MRT. A super-clean, efficient and easy way to get to where you want to go.  It was never over-crowded and there was always someone to help if you were ever unsure of which train to get.  I would definitely recommend using this to get to places. It doesn’t cost very much and can pretty much get you anywhere you want to go.  Taking suitcases on it wasn’t a problem at all.

Sentosa

One of the places I visited whilst I was there was Sentosa island, I got the MRT to HarbourFront station and then got the cable car across into Sentosa.  There is so much to do here, from waterparks, bungy jumping, animal encounters and so much more!  There is something for everybody.

Exploring Singapore

I also visited China Town, again using the MRT to get there.  Chinatown was so vibrant and colourful, the street market is an absolute must.  Places to visit whilst there is the Buddha Tooth Relic Temple, a remarkable four-story temple and the Sri Mariamman Temple, the oldest shrine in Singapore, it is one of the most prominent places of worship for Tamil Hindus in Singapore.

Gardens by the Bay

Gardens by the Bay was such a wonderful place both during the day and at night.  At night they have a light show plus the Marina Bay Sands hotel is lit up different colours which looks great.  They have so many different conservatories and gardens you can explore.
