Departing Te Anau, we made our way to the UNESCO World Heritage Site, Te Wahipounamu where Milford Sound is within the Fjordland National Park there. Here we boarded a cruise which took us through part of it and we got to see the amazing sites that are there. So beautiful and amazing to see.
During our cruise, we also got to see some of the wildlife that is there, a Fiordland Crested Penguin swimming in the water. Milford Sound is a popular spot for shooting movie scenes. Some movies that have been filmed there include Mission Impossible – Fallout and of course, Lord of the Rings.
Leaving Milford Sound we made our way to our next stop – Queenstown!
